What should I expect at my first visit to a skin and laser clinic in Aurora?
Your first visit is a consultation. We review your health history and medications, look at your skin and talk through your goals. Our physician-led team then explains the options that suit you, what each involves and what it costs, and we agree on a plan together before any treatment begins. Consultations for cosmetic treatments are complimentary.
What does physician-led mean at Thrive!?
It means a physician oversees your care. Every plan starts with a medical assessment and a review of your health history, and treatments are carried out by our trained team under physician direction. Amber Bocknek, MD, has led Thrive! in Aurora since 2000, and our physicians are available for medical questions, prescriptions and any concerns that come up.
Do I need a consultation before skin or laser treatment at Thrive!?
Yes. A consultation comes first so we can review your health history, medications and skin, and confirm that a treatment suits you. Cosmetic consultations take place in person at our Aurora clinic. Hormone and wellness consultations can also be done by video anywhere in Ontario. You can book online or by calling 289-338-5916.
What does Thrive! treat besides skin and laser concerns?
Alongside medical aesthetics, Thrive! offers perimenopause and menopause care, personalized hormone programs for women and men, pelvic floor treatment with the B-Pulse chair, personalized metabolic programs and personalized testing, including biological age and genetic testing. Many of these services are also available by video across Ontario. Each program page explains what is included.
