PRP for Women’s Intimate Health

CO2 Laser Rejuvenation: Restore Vaginal Health

$900/session

PRP for women is a treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma, prepared from a small sample of your own blood, for women’s intimate health. After numbing, the PRP is injected into specific areas of intimate tissue. At Thrive! in Aurora, Ontario, it begins with a private, physician-led consultation, and results vary.

A Private Conversation, First

Changes in intimate sensation and comfort are common, they are physical, and they are worth raising. Most women never hear the topic mentioned in a regular check-up, so it can feel awkward to bring it up yourself. Here, you don’t have to find the perfect words. We start the conversation with you.

Every visit happens in a private room with a physician-led team that is comfortable talking about intimate health, without judgment and without rushing.

About This Treatment

What Is PRP for Women’s Intimate Health?

PRP is prepared from a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate the platelets. It uses your body’s own healing factors, and because it comes from you, the risk of an allergic reaction is very low. Bruising, swelling or tenderness can occur, and your physician reviews the risks with you.

Platelets are the body’s first responders: when tissue is injured, they arrive early and release growth factors involved in repair. PRP concentrates them so they can be placed exactly where your physician plans. For women’s intimate health, the PRP is injected into the clitoral and vaginal areas after numbing. Research in this area is still early, which is why we talk through what is and is not known before you decide.

Using PRP for intimate health is an off-label use: it falls outside the uses the PRP preparation system is licensed for by Health Canada. Your physician explains what that means for you at your consultation, along with the evidence, the risks and your other options.

FAQ

What is PRP for women’s intimate health?

It is a treatment in which platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prepared from a small sample of your own blood, is injected into specific areas of intimate tissue after numbing. PRP concentrates the platelets that carry the body’s own healing factors. At Thrive! in Aurora, it is offered after a private, physician-led consultation, and results vary.

What does research say about PRP for women’s intimate health?

Research is still early. Small studies, including a 2026 pilot randomized trial in premenopausal women, have reported improvement for some women compared with a saline injection, but larger and longer trials are needed, and results vary. Your physician explains what is and is not known, and how PRP compares with other options, before you decide.

Is PRP for women’s intimate health painful?

Comfort is planned for. A topical numbing cream is applied first, and injected freezing can be added. The aim is for you to feel pressure rather than pain, and the injections take about 15 to 20 minutes. Mild tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur afterward, and your physician reviews aftercare with you.

What are the risks of PRP?

PRP is prepared from a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate the platelets. It uses your body’s own healing factors, and because it comes from you, the risk of an allergic reaction is very low. Bruising, swelling or tenderness can occur, and your physician reviews the risks with you.

Who may not be a good candidate for PRP?

PRP may not suit you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a blood clotting or platelet disorder, an active infection in the area, or certain cancers or cancer treatments. Blood thinners and anti-inflammatory medicines are reviewed too. Your physician goes through your health history at the consultation so the decision is made together.
