Stretch marks commonly occur during periods of rapid growth, such as puberty or pregnancy, and with rapid weight gain. Intensive weightlifting or bodybuilding can also cause stretch marks. Prolonged use of corticosteroid medications can make the skin more susceptible.

Stretch marks can't be completely erased, but their appearance can be softened with fractional laser resurfacing. Newer red or purple stretch marks tend to respond better than older white ones. Results vary.
Fractional CO2 laser creates tiny micro-channels in the skin, prompting new collagen and skin remodelling. Over a series of sessions this can soften texture and make stretch marks less noticeable. Your consultation covers how many sessions you may need, the recovery time and possible risks, such as temporary redness or changes in skin colour. Results vary.
A series of 3 to 5 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is common. Improvement is gradual and can continue for several months after the final treatment. Results vary.
We apply topical numbing cream before treatment to minimize discomfort. Most patients describe mild heat or tingling during the procedure. Some redness and swelling are normal afterward.
