Rosacea

Rosacea is a long-term skin condition that causes facial redness and flushing, and sometimes bumps. There's no cure, but it can be managed. Your family doctor or dermatologist is a good partner, and in-clinic treatments such as IPL photofacials and vascular laser can reduce visible redness and blood vessels. Results vary.

Visible Capillaries

Small, dilated blood vessels near the surface of the skin, often appearing on the face. They can be caused by sun damage, aging, or genetic predisposition.

Telangiectasias

Spider veins on the face or body, often resulting from chronic sun exposure, hormonal changes, or rosacea.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes facial flushing?

Flushing can be caused by rosacea, sun damage, hormonal changes, alcohol, spicy foods, temperature changes, and certain medications. Some people are genetically predisposed to flushing.

Can flushing be permanently treated?

Underlying conditions such as rosacea can't be cured, but visible redness, broken capillaries and spider veins can be reduced with IPL photofacials and vascular laser treatment. Maintenance is often needed, and results vary.

What treatments can help with rosacea?

IPL photofacials and vascular laser treatment target the blood vessels that cause redness while sparing the surrounding skin. Medical-grade skincare helps manage symptoms between treatments. Our physician-led team recommends a plan after assessing your skin.

How many treatment sessions are needed?

A series of 2 to 4 sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, is common. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to manage ongoing symptoms, and results vary.
